September 28th, 2007 at 2:31 pmMany people are sick of the California model or celeb. type. We want to see real people who don’t need to flaunt themselves to win. I hope she goes far. People give lip service to “Beauty is only skin deep”, then turn around and say something stupid.

I dont know anyone on the show. But I would like to see Denise win. She seems like a person that would really do good with her winnings and is a person of her
word….So GOOD LUCK. I am pulling for you……

October 4th, 2007 at 10:44 pmMy family hasn’t watched “Survivor” in a few years, but when we heard Denise was a contestant, we were hooked! (She lives down the street from us.) It’s so refreshing to see a 40YO, normal-looking woman with three kids on the show–especially someone we know!! She was walking around our town’s local fall fair this past weekend, and there were tons of people congratulating her. I hope you go all the way, Denise!!!
October 10th, 2007 at 9:22 amDenise,
October 16th, 2007 at 9:43 pmYou are so flying under the radar and are such a great pick to possibly win this thing. You haven’t pissed anybody off and seem like a strong-willed person, mentally and physically. I can’t wait to see how you do when something bad happens as far as getting into it was a tribematae or something else. You so remind me of Twila without the attitude. Best of luck to you on the show Denise!
Yeah, I think Denise is playing it smart. She works hard, tries hard in challenges and isn’t obnoxious. She definitely has some staying power. More power to her…she deserves to win. I’m glad she shut Jean-Robert up to.
October 19th, 2007 at 12:22 pmDear Denise,
As you can tell by my name I take karate lessons. When I saw you do your form at the temple I smiled and said, “O MY GOSH!!!!! I knew there was something that I liked about Denise, and now I know why!” You were SO AWSOME!
I just got my first degree black belt and when I saw your intensity, it inspired me to go for my second degree. Thank you.
You kick butt and I wish you good luck,

Denise now James is gone I’ll be pulling for you all the way.Good luck.
December 1st, 2007 at 8:50 amby voting out erik, denise just sealed her own fate as fourth place. worst. tactical. decision. ever. she just got seriously played. she can’t count? she could have guaranteed a top three alliance with pg and erik, and instead she decided to take up a disposable fourth place spot with an alliance that’s going to vote her down when it’s convenient for them.
bad, bad play. other players keep offering her tactically sweet options and she continually fails to see the end game.
December 7th, 2007 at 9:17 amPlease tell us which school district demoted Denise from day shift of school lunch lady to second shift janitor? Who had “an in” with the administration there to bump a hard working mom to a second shift position where she would miss her karate classes and kids’ activities? America needs to know this and we need to write letters!!!!!!
Thanks!
December 16th, 2007 at 9:09 pmWhat bum rap to lose your job..I sent an e-mail to the school saying how dissapointed I was hope it might help…or maybe you are ready for something else and they did you a favor. Glad you got the 50,000 that was honorable of Survivor..Best to you see you round the massachusetts pot holes. Lisa
December 16th, 2007 at 9:10 pmWhat a shame to have lost your job that way. I would like to know the school system involved so that all could put pressure on them to reverse their decision. Your participation in Survivor was a good thing and should be rewarded, not punished.
December 17th, 2007 at 9:58 amDenise! I was so hoping you’d win the game!!!! I was rooting for ya girl!

Denise - you did an awesome job. I really admire the person that have shown yourself to be. I’m appalled at the school decision to take you off the lunch lady day shift. What’s wrong with the kids being excited to see you - you are an example to them of someone who goes for their goals and doesn’t give up…. what a great example for the kids! Isn’t this part of what we are supposed to teach them??? Hello!! Remember this though, from someone who is also 40 and has the same name as you, and also cleans (houses) for a living….. life really is 10 percent what happens to you and 90 percent how you respond to it…. keep dreaming, setting goals ….. you’ve already proven that you can do it. So happy for you to get the $50k
December 17th, 2007 at 11:00 amDenise, You out and out lied and now you are trying to say you meant something else. shame on you. what a terrible example you are to your family and the kids in the school where you work.
December 18th, 2007 at 11:22 amI cannot imagine the pressure that made Denise tell this untrue version of her job “demotion.” There is no shame in being a lunch lady or a janitor and wish she would have been truthful but at either pay rate, Denise and her family are just barely at the top of the “working poor” designation. It doesn’t excuse what she did but I think America should forgive her as I believe she is truly sorry for creating this falsehood. Walk a mile in her shoes.
December 18th, 2007 at 9:15 pmIt’s hard to believe the lie, but what did the Survivor Execs. think of it and did she get to keep the money?
