  38. Bates Says:

    Hey Leslie

So you finally made it. We just hope you will be strong enough to keep your CHRISTIANITY before anything….the survivor shows have alot of deception, outright lies, and audultrous temptations.

  39. Leslie Says:

Thanks so much for all the comments and kudos! I’m very excited about the show. Bates, I see your point. You’re right, the survivor shows do have a lot of deception, outright lies and adulturous temptations - just like real life, unfortunately. There are also competitions, relationship building, opportunities to trust, warm moments, interpersonal struggles and conflicts, just like real life. I will do my best to represent Christ while being completely imperfect and absolutely real. I hope you all enjoy the show!

  40. Robyn Says:

Way to go! I watched the clip of you in the temple and you took a stand for what you believe. That wasn’t easy but you had to be respected for doing it.
I will be cheering for you the whole time.

  41. Kim Says:

I just saw the You Tube video of Temple and you are VERY Disrespectful! I would expect a Christian woman to be more respectful… You don’t have to believe or bow…. just stand there and show respect… they way they respected you… They didn’t have to let you in!

  42. Kristen (WI) Says:

    Leslie,
Hello. We don’t know each other, but I have you on our Local Survivor Pool. You go Kick some butt. I am pullin for you all the way. Stay strong in your mind and giver all ya got.
    Kristen

  43. KC Says:

I am hoping that just for once a Christian contestant will go on TV and just by their presence let His light shine without being judgemental and offensive. I’ve never heard your radio show but I am from SC so I’m rooting for you. Good luck and may God’s grace shine.

  44. Paul Says:

Hello. I just watched the first episode and the most amazing thing that stood out to me was you. I am glad that you stood up for what you believe in. Going into a temple where Budda, a fake god sits, and you would not bow. I hope that you win this competition. It doesn’t matter what everyone else thinks about it, it’s the fact that God saw it, and I am pretty sure that he is well pleased in your actions. Hope you make it.

  45. Rebecca Pack Says:

    Leslie-
Tonight was the season premier of Survivor. I and my 9 year old son have already prayed for God’s blessings on your life. What a testimony you shared with millions and millions of people in this world when you took a stand, not for religion, but for Jesus Christ! When you meet God one day, He will indeed say, “Well done my good and faithful servant”.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord. Plans for welfare and not calamity to give you a future and a hope!

    God Bless You

    leslie,

God bless and good luck you have all of our thoughts and prayers here at the c.o.c.in st.augustine fl. your sis in CHRIST,erica m.

  47. scotty Says:

WOW!! Way to go! You took such a stand for JESUS CHRIST. I live in the heart of sin city LAS VEGAS. i was so proud of you! You showed such a loving side to answer Jeffs question. You showed millons of viewers that it isn’t about reliegon but all about a relationship with JESUS.

  48. Scott Says:

    Leslie,
I saw a comment about how “disrespectful” you were in the temple. I understand how someone who probably does not have a relationship with Jesus might think that, I’m sure you do too. “Respect” has nothing to do with it. I cheer for your decision not to bow. How many times do we read in the Bible where the Godly decisions of the strong are criticized? Show the love of Jesus to the world Sister! He died and rose again for each and every one of those people, for the critics, for the Buddhists, for EVERYONE! Some just have not experienced the free gift of His love that conquers all! I’m praying for you to let His light shine! Not only am I cheering you on, so is Jesus, as long as you keep making Godly decisions regardless of the outcome of any game. Blessings and prayers going out for you!

Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.”

  49. Don Gregg Says:

    Leslie,

You probably don’t remember me, but we went to Kubasaki together, I lived in Makiminato Housing and I remember riding the bus with you, always thought you were really nice. I knew I recognized you while watching Survivor! Congrats! Puling for you!

    Don Gregg

  50. Rhonda Weeks Says:

    Dear Leslie,
Watched the opening show this week and was so very proud of you! The Lord will honor your willingness to take such a strong stand for Him. Shine on and make Him proud!
    In Christ,
    Rhonda Weeks

  51. K Smith Says:

Her decision wasn’t a godly one. How dare anyone describe any of us in any resemblance of God. Her behavior was disrespectful to another culture. It doesn’t matter if you don’t agree with another culture or religious preference. Having Jesus in your heart and behaving in a way that would please God is by acceptance and tolerance. By showing love and respect is the behavior a Christian should display. I don’t recall the Buddhist religion going around killing everyone, that was Christian influence it is about time you read and study the history of Christianity.

  52. PEASEL Says:

I was disappointed that Leslie could not show respect to the Chinese people as well.
And please give me a break, your God did not get you on Survivor. Im not religious
but I feel its the right thing to do to show respect to people in general, especially
since they were welcoming you to their country.

  53. Leslie Nease voted off in week 3 of survivor china Survivor China on CBS - News & Forum Says:

    […] Leslie Nease […]

  54. Faith Says:

    Hi Leslie,
I just wanted to say that I watched you on Survivor and what an example you showed of someone that has a real relationship with Christ. So many times people go on these shows claiming to be a Christian and yet to watch their actions you would never know. I was very excited when you got up and walked out of that Buddhist temple, (I think I actually said you go girl at the time)and you weren’t afraid to say why afterward.Being a Christian truly is about the relationship we have with Christ and not about a “religion”. God bless you.

  55. Rachel Says:

    Leslie,
I’m very proud of you for standing up for the Lord in China. Thank you for living the way a Christian should, by not compromising.
    God Bless You!
    Rachel in Kansas City

  56. Brian Says:

I’m so glad she’s gone. I thought that was disgraceful and dramatic to treat someone elses religion and hospitality the way she did. If her faith was so strong, nothing could shake it, least of all a simple ceremony to honor her as a visitor to that country. I surely hope that her church never has someone treat it and the congregation with such contempt and disrespect. That is definitely NOT what Jesus would have done.

  57. Andrew Says:

OH SHUT UP!!! I’m as spiritual as the next guy, but GIVE IT A REST! I was so happy when this little pill got voted off, anymore Jesus-freak rhetoric and I was gonna convert to Islam. BTW, do people like this have to pray for guidance as to what clothes to wear in the morning? Is there any original thought at all? Any free will?

The little stunt, at the temple… Not cool at all, dishonorable, and petty. It simply shows how intolerant some Christians can be. Do a little research into Buddhism, you’ll see your error. Or simply wait until you meet St. Peter at the pearly gates and he’s standing there with his arm around Buddha’s shoulder saying, “We need to talk.”

  58. deta Says:

I remember when I saw everyone going into the “temple” and I said “uh-oh”. I knew you had a decision to make and i prayed that you could be strong enough to make the right one. And you did. Everyone thinks it’s about a God not One God and his son. Despite what Jeff said. It definitely was a religious ceremony. You were in temple, surrounded by idols. They were doing a specific act and bowing down. It’s sad how many people think that is okay to do that while still claiming to love Christ. I can’t believe you forgot the golden rule though. Don’t dicuss your experience with the “other” tribe in a positive way with your tribe. That’s what sent you home.

    Deta

  59. Kelsee Says:

I agree with Brian and Andrew.

    Deta et al….
Obvioulsy many of the “christians” have not travelled. That was NOT a religious ceremony, what were they supposed to do, take out all there relics, idols, or whatever you want to call them to appease the Christians? How vain one is to think that they are above anothers religion. The Buddhist religion is one of the most peaceful religions out there. Do we need to remind everyone what the Christians did to others during the Crusades and even now, NOT peaceful!!

Jesus would not have been proud, Jesus had no judgement. Who do Christians think they are to judge others and act as if they are above it all!!! Disgraceful and disrespectful.

  60. CMC says Says:

As a Christian, to simply remove yourself is all that God would ask of us. Leslie simply removed herself, she did not make a scene or yell out scripture to damn The Buddhist religion to Hell. Out of respect she explained why she left the Temple and what she believes. We are not here to judge, that’s God’s job………… I am glad to see strong christian role models on reality TV, even if they get kicked off too early.

  61. Bob C. Says:

It’s great that a gay Mormon won. Not that I am or know any gay Mormons personally. It’s just that I was sooooooo happy when that pain-in-the-ass Leslie got booted out so early after being such an obnoxious bitch on the first episode. What an insult to the people who hosted her sorry ass when she made such an unkind and stupid exit from their welcoming ceremony. She belongs in the cave she came from.

    Thank God!!!!!!!!!!!!

  62. Jessica McDorman Says:

Hello My name is Jessica McDorman and I am a camper for Lakeside Church Camp and I am so glad that you are going to be our speaker and I am in YLT (Youth Leadership Team) and we do the praying with you before you speak. Can’t wait to meet you then bye.
